La construcción del mito: el malditismo en Horacio Quiroga

Abstract

Eighty years after his death, Horacio Quiroga still generates interest both in academic studies and in the reading public. He is habitually included in the accursed writers´ list, fact that organizes his work in close relation with his life. About this point, this article tries to delve into the notion of damnation in the Uruguayan writer´s work/life, emphasizing the construction of the myth that the malédiction littéraire always supposes.
