Abstract

This manuscript deals with the symbolic transcendence of the "window" in the film, not only because it allows us to see what is beyond it but also because it provides security to those who reside inside the enclosure. The crystals allow observing the set of shows displayed by the megalopolis in its spatial and terrestrial dimensions; the frequent climatic alteration to which the low-flying aircraft that overfly the skyscrapers are exposed, the constant virtual and physical displacement of the urban Bedouins. The document transits between the operation of the prospective genre and the profile of the replicants, with the theoretical assistance of Ángel Moreno through the multiple signal irradiations that the crystals make as replicators of images.

The function performed by the main window of the home of Officer K (also the aircraft and the diving suit) is met. Symbolic threshold, postmodern metonymy of the film Blade runner 2049, since it is considered that as a concept it problematizes the current state in which the lenses that visually or virtually communicate the different dimensions are erected and although without reaching the pathos, they originate from the hesitation that is established between the represented object and the receiver precisely at the moment in which the work proposes it.
