Una lectura atenta a la literatura de Mario Benedetti. Estudio de diversos recursos y tópicos benedettianos. Ejemplificación de ellos en el cuento “Bolso de viajes cortos”

Abstract

This article aims to investigate the way in which Mario Benedetti’s literature is read. At the same time, the article shows the different tools that make this author one of the most emblematic in the history of our country. The study will focus on the diversification of Benedetti’s work, starting from what we will call benedettian resources and topics, understanding them as the engines of the exponential reach of this author in the life of the readers. These concepts will be applied to the story “Bolso de viajes cortos”, from Buzón de tiempo (1999) in order to fulfil the great objective in question: to exercise a careful reading of Mario Benedetti's literature.
