This article explores the dominant historiographic interpretations of some of the characteristics acquired by Latino American literature during the 60’s and 70’s, as it underwent a literary subcontinental boom worldwide. We analyze the influence of the Cuban Revolution in the articulation of such phenomena and the intervention of market devices in its configuration. We also evaluate the intellectual and literary manifestos present between May and July in 1971 linked to the Padilla Case, which constituted a tipping point for the intellectual collectives built around Cuba and the publishing market.
